Berakas: 65 officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have been promoted in a significant ceremony with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The event marked a momentous occasion for the officers who have shown exceptional dedication and service.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the presentation of promotion insignia was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, who serves as the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The ceremony was officiated by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF, and took place at the Officers' Mess, Berakas Garrison.
The promotions included various ranks, with one officer advancing to the rank of Permanent Major. Additionally, 16 officers were elevated to the rank of Permanent Major/Lieutenant Commander TLDB, while three officers were advanced to the rank of Acting Major. Moreover, one officer achieved the rank of Permanent Captain, 42 officers were promoted to Permanent Captain/Lieutenant TLDB, and two officers were advanced to Acting Captain. The promotions reflect the officers' commitment and the high standards upheld by the RBAF.
