Bandar seri begawan: Active weather conditions are forecast to continue in Brunei Darussalam until Tuesday, December 16. Showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunder, are expected to impact several areas of the country, particularly in the afternoon and at night, potentially persisting until early morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, wind gusts of up to 45 kilometers per hour are anticipated during or near heavy and thundery showers. Over Brunei waters, sea conditions remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging between 0.5 and 1.5 meters.
The public is advised to take precautionary actions due to the forecasted active weather conditions. There is a high risk of flash floods or flooding, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas, as well as near riverbanks during periods of continuous heavy rain and high tide. The risk of landslides, fallen trees, and blown-off roofs is also possible during heavy showers and gusty conditions. Additionally, the moderate state of sea conditions poses a hazard to all small boats and recreational and marine sports activities.
