Berakas: 23 participants, including 18 Qari and 5 Qariah, showcased their readings during the semi-finals of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran for Adults 2026. The event is being held over three days at the Dewan Muzakarah, International Convention Centre.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, attended the morning session of the event. The competition saw 41 participants-32 Qari and 9 Qariah-advance from the Preliminary Level organized by the Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, last October. The Musabaqah aims to promote the advancement of Al-Quran studies and encourage Al-Quran literacy within the community.
