Bandar seri begawan: 219 point 4 kilogrammes of garbage were collected during the Cleaning Campaign in conjunction with the ‘King’s Baton’ Celebration. The campaign, organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, took place on 10th November morning at Meragang Beach.
According to Radio Television Brunei, present was Ken O’Flaherty, British Acting High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam. The campaign aimed to further enliven the ‘King’s Baton’ Celebration and to commemorate Plastic Cleanup Day. The campaign was also participated by national athletes.
