Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, received in audience His Excellency Xiao Jianguo, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, during a ceremony held at Istana Nurul Iman.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event marked the conclusion of Ambassador Xiao Jianguo’s diplomatic mission in Brunei. Ambassador Xiao presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on 13th September 2023, signifying the start of his tenure in Brunei. The audience ceremony on 25th November served as a formal farewell as he prepares to depart from his position.
