More than 70 participants of the 35th ASEAN Transport Facilitation Working Group (TFWG) Meeting attended a farewell dinner hosted by the Land Transport Department, Ministry of Communications last night.
Doctor Haji Awang Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, in his speech, expressed gratitude to T-F-W-G Leaders and delegates for the commitment, support and unity in implementing the transport measures towards realising the ASEAN Connectivity 2025's vision to achieve a seamless and comprehensively connected and integrated ASEAN, that will promote competitiveness, inclusiveness and a greater sense of Community.
The 3 day-meeting among other things discussed the progress by implementing the goods transport facilitation framework agreements and Protocols to meet the time frame given in the Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan (KLTSP). Present were Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Acting Director of Land Transport as the Chairman of the 35th TFWG Meeting and delegates from ASEAN Member States, such as the ASEAN Secretariat and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan.
