In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, Radio Television Brunei yesterday organised a 'Radio Brunei with ASEAN friends' during the Bandarku Ceria Programme. The event was conducted by Pilihan FM.
Some 300 ASEAN representatives residing in the country attended the event. Among those attended the event were His Excellency Meynardo LB Montealegre, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam; Her Excellency Nurul Qomar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam and Her Excellency Amphay Kindavong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the People of Lao to Brunei Darussalam. Also present were Awang Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, Director of Radio Television Brunei and Awang Haji Hasnan bin Haji Suhaili, Acting Head of Radio Programme. The event was filled with several games such as quiz, treasure hunt and cooking demonstration.
Meanwhile, The Green Deen Entrepreneurship Programme which was conducted for 5-days under the Tarbiyyah Project for Kids ended today with a Charity Sale activity at the Bandarku Ceria programme. Products in the form of bag and t-shirt made by 9 children aged between 3 to 9 years old were displayed and sell. Through such a programme, the children were exposed and guide to entrepreneurial skills and charity. 10 percent of the sales will be given to the children, while 90 percent will be donated to welfare bodies in the country.
