Bangladeshi Man Found Guilty for Violating Excise Order 2006 in Bandar Seri Begawan

Bandar Seri Begawan: A Bangladeshi man was found guilty by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for two offences under the Excise Order 2006. MD Deluar Hossain, 41 years old, was sentenced to a fine of $27,860 or 18 months imprisonment in default for possessing 21 cartons, 26 packs, and 19 sticks of cigarettes, as well as 36 cans of alcoholic drinks of various brands without valid permits.

According to Radio Television Brunei, all contraband items were seized and handed over to the government for destruction. Additionally, cash amounting to $1,188 and a mobile phone were seized for further action.
