Bandar seri begawan: Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) has successfully structured and arranged a five hundred million Brunei Dollar Islamic finance facility for Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sendirian Berhad (BFI). This significant achievement underscores BIBD's leadership in the financial sector and its pivotal role in supporting Brunei's Islamic economy by providing value and fostering sustainable growth in accordance with Syariah principles. The Agreement Handover Ceremony took place at the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on the afternoon of May 13th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by notable figures including Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, who also serves as the Chairman of BFI. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of BIBD. BIBD, acting as the Lead Arranger, spearheads the collaboration with both local and international financial institutions. This facility aligns with BFI's strategic capital management approach and reaffirms its long-term commitment to its shareholders.
