BLNG and BGC Boards Focus on Strengthening Safety and Long-Term Resilience

Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, emphasized the importance of enhancing safety vigilance and driving sustainable improvements during the 227th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (BLNG) and the 113th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad (BGC) for the third quarter of 2025. The meeting took place on the morning of October 1st at the Prime Minister's Office.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty highlighted the significance of upholding high safety standards, ensuring disciplined execution, and adopting forward-looking strategies to enhance the long-term resilience of the companies. His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister's Office, who are members of the BLNG and BGC Board of Directors. The meeting commenced with the reading of Doa and focused on key topics such as safety, operational performance, financials, manpower development, and long-term strategies for both BLNG and BGC.

The meeting was also attended by stakeholders, including Shareholder Directors representing His Majesty's Government, Shell plc, Mitsubishi Corporation, and members of the respective management teams from BLNG and BGC. Furthermore, His Majesty is scheduled to chair the 416th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 194th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM) for the third quarter of 2025 on October 2nd.
