Bandar Seri Begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, emphasized the opportunity for deeper engagement at all levels between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Kosovo, further strengthening their long-standing ties. His Majesty's remarks were made during a State Banquet held in conjunction with the State Visit of Her Excellency Doctor Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, President of the Republic of Kosovo, and Mr. Prindon Sadriu, First Gentleman, who are visiting Brunei Darussalam for a three-day State Visit. This visit marks Her Excellency's inaugural trip to the country.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the visit began with the arrival of Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Kosovo and First Gentleman at Istana Nurul Iman, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, along with Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman. The visitors were warmly greeted with the waving of both nations' flags.
The State Welcoming Ceremony took place at the grounds of Istana Nurul Iman, where His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri, together with Her Excellency and First Gentleman, proceeded to the Special Dais to receive the Salute of Honour, accompanied by the national anthems of both countries and a twenty-one gun salute. The two leaders then inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Her Excellency and First Gentleman were introduced to members of the Royal Family and other dignitaries, including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-pengiran Cheteria, the Special Advisor to His Majesty, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Cabinet Ministers, and other officials. His Majesty was introduced to the official delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, including the Chief of Staff and advisers from the Office of the President of the Republic of Kosovo.
Following the State Welcoming Ceremony, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received Her Excellency and First Gentleman in audience at Cheradi Laila Kenchana. The audience included members of the Royal Family, the delegation of the Republic of Kosovo, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, as the Minister-in-Attendance, and spouse.
The Audience Ceremony was followed by the Conferment of the 'Order of Independence' presented to His Majesty by the President of the Republic of Kosovo. His Majesty then conferred a state decoration, Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama Yang Amat Dihormati (D.K.), on Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Kosovo, bestowing upon her the title of 'Datin Laila Utama.'
