Bandar seri begawan: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to facilitate cooperation in multiple medical fields, including the exchange of healthcare professionals and the referral of patients to Thailand for treatment. This agreement marks a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health of Brunei and BNH Medical Centre Limited of Thailand, as well as Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) and BNH Medical Centre. The signing ceremony took place at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, the Minister of Health. Representing the Ministry of Health, Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Acting Permanent Secretary, signed the MoU. Doctor Nopparat Panthongwiriyakul, Director of BNH Medical Centre Limited, signed on behalf of the Thai institution, while Doctor Meera Sahib Kabeer represented JPMC. Her Excellency Boosara Kanchanalai, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam, was also present at the ceremony.
