Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam and the United States have engaged in discussions to explore efforts aimed at developing sustainable industries and enhancing workforce capabilities through a variety of initiatives and training programs. This dialogue occurred during a courtesy visit by two United States Congressional officials to the Members of the Legislative Council at the Dewan Majlis building.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the meeting was attended by Members of the Legislative Council, led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, who engaged with the US Congressional officials under the Mutual Education and Cultural Exchange Act Programme. The discussions extended to the structure and role of the Legislative Council and identified opportunities for cooperation in training and knowledge exchange.
In addition to focusing on workforce and industry sustainability, the talks between Brunei and the US officials also encompassed regional and global issues, highlighting the potential for broader collaboration in the future.
