Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, attended the Weightlifting event of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to support local athlete Awang Mohammad bin Haji Kamit, who participated in the 79 Kilogramme category.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Royal Highness delivered a sabda, offering words of advice and encouragement to the national athletes. In the competition, Awang Mohammad lifted 110 kilogrammes in the Snatch event, securing 13th place out of 14 participants. In the Clean and Jerk event, he successfully lifted 135 kilogrammes.
His Royal Highness was also invited to a Traditional Saudi Dinner by the President of the Saudi Table Tennis Federation, which was held in Bujairi Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.
