Brunei Borneo Sustainability Summit Focuses on Collaborative Efforts for Sustainable Development

Brunei: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is actively collaborating to advance sustainable tourism, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience, as part of the Heart of Borneo initiative. The Vice-Chancellor of UBD made these remarks during the Brunei Borneo Sustainability Summit. The two-day summit, held at UBD on the afternoon of April 22nd, brought together sustainability experts from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Dr. Hazri bin Haji Kifle highlighted UBD's recent achievements, including success at the Shell Eco-marathon and ongoing international conferences, showcasing the real-world impact of their commitment. The summit hosted by UBD resulted in a first draft outline of the Borneo Assessment Report, which identifies key priorities for each cluster and reinforces collaborative efforts to ensure sustainable development across Borneo.
