Bandar Seri Begawan: Brunei Darussalam will begin the 1st of Syawal on Monday, 31st March 2025. By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the country will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri on 31st March 2025.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the announcement was made following the result of the sighting of the new moon of Syawal. The sighting was broadcast through Radio and Television Brunei, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the festive celebration in the country.
