Brunei Darussalam Hosts Workshop to Develop Biodiversity Policy Implementation Plan

Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam is advancing its commitment to biodiversity management and conservation by hosting a workshop dedicated to drafting the National Biodiversity Policy Implementation Plan and Strategic Action Plan for 2024 to 2030. The workshop, organized by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Forestry Department, commenced on the 26th of August at the ministry.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, emphasized the importance of proper and effective biodiversity management. She highlighted the necessity of understanding and collaboration among various parties involved in biodiversity management and conservation. The three-day workshop includes participation from relevant stakeholders and forms part of an ongoing effort to ensure the successful implementation of biodiversity policy targets and actions, aligning with national development objectives.
