Tutong: A local woman was charged at the Tutong Magistrate’s Court on two counts under Section 146 (1)(d) of the Excise Order 2006. NUR AIN BINTI MOHD HALID, 32 years old, was arrested by the Kuala Belait operations officers of the Royal Customs and Excise Department. The arrest was made at a house in Kampung Bukit Beruang National Housing Scheme, Tutong District. The accused was charged with the offence of possessing 343 vape units, 16 sticks of cigarettes, 50 grams of tobacco, 1 bottle of liquor, and cash amounting to two hundred dollars. The total fine is 39,720 Brunei dollars or 19 months imprisonment in default.
According to Radio Television Brunei, all items were seized to be handed over to the government for further action.
