BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A delegation from the Brunei Darussalam Syariah Court attended the Syariah High Court Judges' Discussion throughout Malaysia 2024 and participated in Bilateral Discussions with Yang Arif Syariah High Court Judge of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The Muzakarah represented a significant step forward in cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia in the field of Syariah law and judiciary, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Syariah Courts and the Syariah Judiciary Department of Malaysia. According to Radio Television Brunei, the Muzakarah was organized by the Secretariat Registration and Records Division, Syariah Judiciary Department of Malaysia, and involved Syariah High Court Judges from across Malaysia. The event, held at Tenera Hotel in Bangi Selangor, Malaysia, was attended by Yang Arif Haji Muhammad Bahrin bin Haji Alias, the Syariah High Court Judge from Brunei Darussalam. Brunei Darussalam's Syariah High Court Judge also engaged i n Bilateral Discussions with Yang Arif, the Syariah High Court Judge of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. These discussions are anticipated to further strengthen relations between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, particularly in the realm of the Syariah judiciary.
