Bandar seri begawan: The opening session of the current governmental meeting saw the discussion of key issues including the landscape of child care, implementation of hidden disability programmes, and special education at educational institutions.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, addressed the topic of child care. He encouraged child care centres to assist in alleviating the child care burden faced by many families.
Further, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, outlined several measures that have been implemented to make the Brunei International Airport more inclusive for individuals with hidden disabilities.
Discussing job opportunities for former inmates, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence, mentioned that the government is considering a more inclusive and progressive approach for recruitment into public service.
Moreover, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, the Minister of Education, stated that the Department of Special Education is committed to ensuring the implementation of special education across all educational institutions, including private sector schools, in accordance with established guidelines.
