The 65-day Brunei Salebration 2017 held until the 31st of January will be extended for another 3 weeks, from the 1st until the 21st of February 2018. According to the Department of Economic Planning and Development, JPKE, the initiative of extending the sale period is aimed at facilitating businesses participating in the Brunei Salebration 2017 and intend to hold a discounted sales event in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2018.
In this regard, JPKE has requested for the participants wishing to hold a discounted sales event in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2018 to notify the department for the preparation of the Extension Notification Forms which will need to be clearly displayed at a visible spot at the business premises. JPKE would like to encourage businesses participating in the Brunei Salebration 2017 to take part in this initiative as part of efforts to support the Government's desire to promote Brunei Darussalam as a shopping destination and contribute towards increasing local consumption and boost business activities. More than 400 business premises have registered to participate in Brunei Salebration 2017.
