Kuala lumpur: His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attended a Bilateral Meeting with His Excellency Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen accompanied His Majesty during the meeting.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty expressed anticipation for a visit to Vietnam in December 2025 and emphasized the importance of strengthening the Comprehensive Partnership between Brunei and Vietnam. The two nations have a history of collaboration in trade, energy, and people-to-people exchanges. A Plan of Action is in place to enhance mutually beneficial areas, with a focus on expanding trade linkages through halal cooperation, aquaculture, and oil and gas exploration activities.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, highlighting the enduring cooperation between the two countries.
