Bangar: The Bangar Police Station, Royal Brunei Police Force, seized 759 cartons of cigarettes and several bottles of electronic cigarette or vape liquid during a surveillance operation in the Bangar Town area, Temburong District. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the police attempted to stop a vehicle heading towards Kampung Labu but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was later discovered abandoned on the roadside in the RPN Kampung Mentiri area following a pursuit. The suspect, a 36-year-old local man, is in police custody. The seized contraband has been handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
