Citizenship Certificate Presentation Ceremony Highlights Role of Technology and Community Solidarity

Bandar Seri Begawan: All citizens must play their roles and responsibilities by using technology prudently and make it a channel to strengthen solidarity and ties within the community. The reminder was made by the Minister of Home Affairs at the 42nd Citizenship Certificate Presentation Ceremony at BRIDEX, Jerudong, on the afternoon of June 26th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman highlighted that with strong community solidarity and the internalization of national values and identity based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy principles, Brunei can effectively defend against negative influences that do not align with the country’s way of life. These principles are seen as foundational for the nation’s development, peace, and prosperity.

Yang Berhormat emphasized that citizens of Brunei Darussalam have a critical role and bear significant responsibility in contributing to the nation’s development, obeying the law, strengthening harmony, and safeguarding solidarity.

A total of 764 people received their citizenship certificates with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
