The Ministry of Finance and Economy launched the Competition Commission of Brunei Darussalam, CCBD's website and guidelines related to the enforcement of competition order, yesterday morning. The launching was the main initiative in enhancing understanding and compliance of entrepreneurs to avoid from a collective anti-competition practices among entrepreneurs, specifically in pricing, market sharing, supply control and collusive tenders. The website and guidelines were officiated during the Customer Friendly Day 2020 of Ministry of Finance and Economy and the departments under it.
The launching was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The website contains information on the major prohibitions of competition orders, development on CCDB activity, as well as complaints mechanism and flexibility application. While 4 guidelines are introduced namely the Anti-Competition Agreement Guidelines, Complaint Procedure Guidelines, Transition Period Advanced Guidelines and Flexibility Guidelines. The guidelines can be accessed through CCBD's website at 'www.ccbd.gov.bn'.
The Customer Friendly Day 2020 exhibition which is participated by 24 departments and sections at the Ministry of Finance and Economy carries the theme ''Ke Arah Penambahbaikan Kualiti Perkhidmatan" or Towards Improving Service Quality. Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Fiscal and Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Economy as well as Members of the Legislative Council. The exhibition is open to the public for two days starting today from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon at the Lobby of Ministry of Finance and Economy.
