Kampung kiarong: The Dikir Maulud was heard across mosques, surau, and religious halls nationwide on the night of August 24th. The Dikir Maulud ceremony is scheduled to continue for 12 consecutive nights in celebration of the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam on the 12th of Rabiulawal. The centerpiece of the Dikir Maulud opening ceremony was located at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was conducted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
