The current bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia have reached an unprecedented level encompassing all sectors namely political and security, economic, trade and industries as well as social, cultural and education. The challenge for now is to maintain the momentum of both countries' relationship to be as strong as ever. His Excellency Dr. Sujatmiko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam made the remarks at the Diplomatic Reception on the Occasion of the 73rd Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence last night.
Representing His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Government was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. His Excellency Dr. Sujatmiko said the visit by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to Indonesia in May this year, reinforced the foundation for both countries to move ever forward to enhance cooperation in various fields.
