Bandar Seri Begawan: To commemorate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, the Authority for Info-communication Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) yesterday held a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony at An-Na'im Mosque, Kampung Panchor Mengkubau.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Chairman of AITI. The events included the mass Sunat Hajat prayer, Asar prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil, and Doa Kesyukuran. Celebrated every 17th of May, the event aimed to raise awareness of the power of the Internet and other technologies to improve lives and bridge the digital divide.
