The Prime Minister's Office and departments under it, yesterday afternoon, held a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 72nd birthday anniversary. The function took place at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
In-attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The ceremony began with a Sunat Hajat Prayer led by Awang Anuar bin Haji Salim, Mosque Affairs officer at the mosque. This was followed with the reading of Surah Yassin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran. Also present were Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Japar Bin Haji Mat Dain@Maidin, Deputy State Mufti; Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin, Syariah Court of Appeal Judge and Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunus, Permanent Secretary of Media and Cabinet at the Prime Minister's Office.
The ceremony among other things aimed to seek Allah the Almighty's blessings for His Majesty's longevity and continued rule, as well as the peace, security and the prosperity of the country and the people.
