Also present was Doctor Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Ra'es of KUPU SB. The one day workshop is a continuous effort by KUPU SB through the Language center for the continuous improvement of Arabic Language teaching and learning in general.
Awang Mohd Adi Adham bin Ramlan, a KUPU SB alumni from the Postgraduate Diploma in Religious Teaching (teaching Arabic for non-Arabic speakers) programme in his presentation titled Language preparation requirements as an Arabic Language teacher, explained that language is Aswaat which means voice or sound. Therefore in order to be proficient in the language, it is important to increase listening and speaking exercises in the language. Teachers of Arabic need to also be passionate and possess a love for the language as it will also influence the students' interest in learning it.
