Prior to the debate, the council approved topics under the Ministry of Development.
According to Radio Television Brunei, other significant matters raised included initiatives to maintain and preserve the nation's cultural heritage, enhance facility development, and support the growth of local economies. Additionally, there was a focus on youth programmes aimed at providing opportunities for personal development.
The debate also underscored the importance of ensuring that programmes and national development policies take into account the needs of the differently-abled. Discussions included policy considerations on setting age limits for childcare centres and planning for the establishment of a special body to enhance the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Support for families caring for senior citizens was another topic of interest, with emphasis on reducing the caregiving burden. Assistance was also discussed as a means to bridge the income index gap through empowering a sustainable economy.
