Brunei Darussalam Experiences Unusual Hot Weather Conditions

Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam is currently at the end of the second phase of the Northeast Monsoon. During this period, atmospheric conditions are generally more stable, with reduced rainfall activity. Since the 8th of March, no rainfall has been recorded at the Meteorological Observation Station at Brunei International Airport. To date, the total rainfall recorded for March is 44.5 millimetres, which is lower than the normal monthly average for March of 143.4 millimetres.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Brunei Darussalam has been experiencing unusual hot weather conditions. Over the past three days, maximum daily temperatures recorded in several areas have reached up to 34.7 degrees Celsius. For the final week of March, weather conditions are expected to remain stable, with minimal rainfall activity. Meanwhile, maximum daily temperatures are forecast to range between 33 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius. Members of the public are advised to take necessary precaution and safety measures with regards to the hot and dry weather conditions currently being observed and are expected to continue over the coming week.
