The relations between Brunei Darussalam and the State of Kuwait continues to develop in various field through official visits that have been held. In conjunction with the 58th National Day and 28th anniversary of Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in the country held a reception at the Empire Hotel and Country Club Jerudong last night.
Representing the government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Laila Raja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minister of Defence. Both countries have many similarities in various aspects including culture, economy as well as vision to explore human and natural resources for sustainable development, apart from diversifying the country's source of income. Also present was His Excellency Salah Mubarak Musleh R. Al Mutairi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the country.
