Enhancing National Economic Growth

To uphold the National Budget Focus for the Financial Year 2020/2021, 800 Million Dollars was allocated specifically for the 11th National Development Plan, NDP.

In upholding the focus Enhancing Investment Activities, the Financial Year 2020/2021 National Budget has provided an allocation that can enhance national economic growth among them 98.2 Million Dollars for the 11th NDP. This includes a 40.4 million dollars allocation for the Kandol Project, targeted to contribute 4,800 metric tonnes of paddy a year by 2025.

Meanwhile, for Facilitating Business in the country, 2.12 Million Dollars are allocated under the 11th NDP with a plan price of 16.8 million dollars to fund several projects. Among them, Electronic Building Levy Project under the Ministry of Home Affairs and upgrading the Gadong and Jerudong Markets, National Labour Management System and Halal Certification System.

The 11th NDP also allocated 92.4 Million Dollars to Generate Competent And Employable Human Resources. Among them, construction, extension and upgrading of government school buildings nationwide, construction of the new Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA building in the Temburong District and the Civil Service Leadership Pipeline under the Public Service Department, Prime Minister's Office's NDP.

Several efforts and planning are actively being carried out by the government to Protect Public Well-Being in the country continues to be assured. Under the 11th NDP budget, a sum of 507.30 Million Dollars has been allocated. This includes the final phase of Brunei Muara District and Temburong District Bridge, National Housing Projects and Clean Water Supply Management Project.
