Exhibition of Valuable Artefacts Reflect Brunei’s Cultural Heritage

Bandar Seri Begawan: The 'Jejak Waktu' Exhibition: Stories from Artefacts at the Malay Technology Museum features a variety of unique artefacts from seven individual collectors who preserve valuable artefacts and reflect Brunei's identity and cultural heritage.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the exhibition has been open to the public since the 19th of May. It aims to raise public awareness about the historical value of personal collections, while also fostering a collective responsibility to preserve the nation's heritage for future generations.

Among the attractions at this exhibition are Raleigh brand bicycles, also known as "Speda Ontel." Visitors can also view collections of old stamps and banknotes, as well as three kabans, which were used in the 40s and 50s for performing the haj by sea. The exhibition also displays Lanjang and charcoal irons, which were used before the advent of electricity.
