Brunei: The first haj flight carrying Brunei Darussalam's intending pilgrims departed the country on the morning of May 15. The Royal Brunei flight RB BI 4201 transported 254 pilgrims, including officers from the Brunei Darussalam's Haj Pilgrim Management Office for Medical, as well as representatives from Darussalam Services Sendirian Berhad, Straits Central Agencies Sendirian Berhad, Dar El Ehsan Travel Sendirian Berhad, and Raudah Al-Amin Sendirian Berhad.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the departure at Brunei International Airport was attended by several dignitaries. Among those present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Buraithin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The flight is scheduled to arrive in Madinah at 3:20 PM local time.
