Bandar Seri Begawan: The First Committee Meeting for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 79th Birthday at the District Level was held on 3rd May morning. In the Brunei Muara District, it took place at the Brunei Muara District Office. It was chaired by Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. Aside from discussing the dissolution and proposed appointment of this year's celebration's committee, the meeting also discussed the format and programmes of the Get-Together Ceremony. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council.
According to Radio Television Brunei, preparations for the Get-Together Ceremony with the citizens was among the matters discussed at a similar meeting in Belait District. It was chaired by Awang Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Mohammad, Acting Belait District Officer. Among those attending were Members of the Legislative Council.
Whereas in Tutong District, Awang Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer chaired the meeting. Among the meeting agendas was sectoral events including religious, community and sports events. Also attending was a Member of the Legislative Council.
