Kampung kiarong: In a display of patriotism and respect for the Monarch, National Flag Hoisting Ceremonies were held by various parties in the country. Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads under Mukim Gadong 'A' and Gadong 'B' organized a ceremony at the Kampung Kiarong parking area, coinciding with His Majesty's 80th Birthday Celebration for Zone 1. The event was attended by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong, a Member of the Legislative Council, and included the presentation of flags to selected village residents.
According to Radio Television Brunei, a similar Flag Hoisting Ceremony for Zone 3 was held by the Mukim Serasa Consultative Council in collaboration with Meragang Sixth Form Centre. This event was graced by Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, Members of the Legislative Council, and took place at the Meragang Sixth Form Centre.
Another ceremony was organized by Mukim Pengkalan Batu for Zone 5, with Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Haji Mohammad, a Member of the Legislative Council, in attendance. For Zone 4, the event was hosted by the Kampung Lumapas 'A' Village Consultative Council at Lumapas Religious School, where the national flag was handed over by Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaraak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Brunei Muara District Officer, to be hoisted by participants.
In the Belait District, the Mukim Bukit Sawat Consultative Council conducted their Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the Multi-purpose Hall of Kampung Merangking, Mukim Bukit Sawat. Attendees included Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Md Salleh bin Haji Othman and Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ LIM SWEE ANN, Members of the Legislative Council.
