The giant-sized Brunei Darussalam national flag that was hoisted since the 16th of this month in conjunction with the 34th national day celebration has been lowered down marking the end of the period of hoisting the national flag throughout the country. The ceremony was held at the Open Area of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital yesterday afternoon.
Shortly after the national anthem, the giant-sized Brunei Darussalam national flag was handed over by the Royal Brunei Navy to Dato Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance. The lowering of the giant-sized flag also marks the end of the hoisting of national flags at all roads, government and private buildings as well as residences nationwide in conjunction with the 34th National Day celebration.
