Bandar Seri Begawan: Four companies and two individuals faced fines from the Licensing and Enforcement Division, Brunei Muara District Office for breaches under the Miscellaneous Offences Act. The penalties were imposed following a joint ‘Operasi Bersih’ operation conducted at a rented housing in Kampung Madang, Berakas.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Isfahani Sendirian Berhad, Feni Sendirian Berhad, Abu Talha Sendirian Berhad, and Pahaytc Sendirian Berhad each received fines amounting to one thousand dollars. In addition, two individuals from Bangladesh, Miza Nur and Mohd Ishak Mia, were fined one hundred dollars and three hundred dollars, respectively.
The authorities mandated both the companies and individuals to clean the area and pay the fines within seven days. Failure to comply would result in court proceedings. The joint operation was a collaborative effort involving the enforcement agencies of the Department of Immigration and National Registration, and the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
