Four Companies Penalized Under Miscellaneous Offences Act

Bandar seri begawan: Four companies have been issued compound fines under the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30, following a routine operation by the Licensing and Enforcement Section of the Brunei Muara District Office. Nur Halima Sendirian Berhad, Bsd Sendirian Berhad, Arl Sendirian Berhad, and Minsan Dcon Sendirian Berhad each faced a $1,000 fine.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the operation also resulted in six compound fines issued to individuals for littering at Jerudong Beach between August 11th and 19th, 2025. Four local residents received $100 fines each, while two Indonesian citizens were fined $300 and $100, respectively.

Should any of these parties default on the fines, the cases will be escalated to court. If found guilty, individuals could face fines up to $9,000, whereas companies could be fined up to $30,000 or face imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months, or both.
