Friendly Match

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office last night watched a friendly football match between DPMM FC and FC GOA from India. The match was organised in conjunction with the Festival of India in Brunei Darussalam as well as the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's Accession to the Throne. The match was played at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Her Excellency Nagma M. Mallick, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. Also present were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah as well as other members of the royal family. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was then introduced to the players from both teams.

His Royal Highness also received a pasambah from the High Commissioner of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam, and presented a souvenir to Her Excellency.

The country's elite team, Brunei DPMM FC, took full advantage of playing on home turf by beating FC GOA 5-Nil. Rosmin Hj Kamis and Mohammad Najib Hj Tarif scored one goal respectively, while Rafael Ramazotti scored 3 goals for DPMM FC. FC GOA sole goal's was made by Enestar Malngiang.
