Bandar seri begawan: Members of the public will have the opportunity to witness the Full Lunar Eclipse phenomenon which will occur on the 7th and 8th of September. The Eclipse Observation and Sunat Gerhana Prayer will be held by the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. It is held in collaboration with the Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam. The matter was shared during the Press Conference on the Phenomenon. It took place on 25th August afternoon at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Siti Norhayatty binti Haji Morni, Curator of Conservation and Repair, Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, shared that the observation will be held in the area in front of the building. Meanwhile, Awang Haji Mahadi bin Haji Mohd Tahir, President of the Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam, said the eclipse will begin on the 7th of September at around 11:28 at night of local time and reach its full phase at around 2:12 in the morning, the next day. The public is welcome to witness the observation activities which will begin at around 8:30 in the evening until 3:00 in the morning.
