Halalan Tayyiban Seminar Highlights Global Halal Industry Challenges

Bandar seri begawan: Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, through the Faculty of Halal Science and Sustainable Tourism, in collaboration with International Islamic University Malaysia, UIAM, organized the Halalan Thayyiban Intellectual Assembly 2025 seminar. This event took place at the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the seminar was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metusin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. The keynote session of the seminar emphasized the spirituality aspect in halal industry sustainability, while the seminar’s theme addressed the current challenges faced by the global halal industry. It highlighted the role of science and technology in fortifying the halal sector to ensure its relevance on the international stage. The seminar served as a platform to enhance halal sustainability through the integration of Islamic knowledge, science, and technology.
