Harbin: Following the Opening Ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games, His Majesty departed from Harbin, the People's Republic of China. Prior to the departure, a Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti. The farewell ceremony took place at Harbin TaiPing International Airport.
According to Radio Television Brunei, present at the airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were Mr. Lan Shaomin, Chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; His Excellency Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam; and His Excellency Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Pahlawan Retired Colonel Dato Paduka Haji Abdu'r Rahmani bin Dato Paduka Haji Basir, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the People's Republic of China.
The presence of these dignitaries underscored the significance of the event and the strong bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China. His Majesty's participation in the opening ceremony of the Asian Winter Games highlighted the importance of fostering international sports and cultural exchanges.
