Temburong: The number of new converts in the country continues to increase after an Iban man chose Islam as his new faith. The conversion ceremony took place at Kampung Rataie National Housing Scheme, Temburong District, on the morning of June 29.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Lois @ Umpam Anak Ambol is now known as Awang Mohammad Uwais Imani bin Abdul Rahman Ambol. The ceremony was held in the presence of Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre. Also present was Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer.
