Seven individuals detained by the Royal Brunei Police Force were believed to be involved in an illegal racing activity at the Tutong Civic Centre area. They were detained last night during an operation conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force and Land Transport Department. The operation was led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Dayangku Husmawati binti Pengiran Hussin, Tutong District Traffic Control Officer.
The individuals aged around their 20s and their vehicles were brought to the Tutong Police Station for investigation. The vehicles will be handed over to the Land Transport Department for further vehicle examination. The Royal Brunei Police Force warns the public that the road is not a racing track. Therefore strict penalties will be imposed on any individual caught disobeying traffic laws and regulations.
