The Induction Programme involving 23 new officers and teachers of the Islamic Studies Department received their certificates at the Closing Ceremony this afternoon. The ceremony was held at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Secondary Arabic religious School in Kampung Katok.
Certificates were presented by Dayang Hajijah binti Haji Moktal, the Acting Director of Islamic Studies. The 10-day Induction Programme acts as a step towards providing the new officers and teachers with knowledge related to general regulations of civil service apart from giving exposure and understanding related to professionalism of a teacher in supporting the Wawasan 2035 specifically in Education.
In the morning, the induction participants were given a briefing on the new Civil Service Performance Management System. Two changes are introduced namely the use of new Performance Assessment Form which stresses on the aspect of result achieved through Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and key roles, and the use of Bell - Curve methodology which sets the percentage limit in providing a performance grade at all government Ministries and Department.
During an interview with RTB, the participants explained the contents of the programme which provide exposure on the teaching preparation and other matters.
