The research and study of all the aspects of the country's history were among the matters that attract the attention of the delegation of Malaysian Information and Public Relations Officers Exchange Programme who made a visit to the Brunei History Centre in the capital yesterday. The delegation comprising 4 people were led by Encik Erwin Khairul bin Ahmad, the Deputy Director of Nerve Motion and Issue Management Section, Malaysia Information Department.
A briefing on the history of establishment and development of History Centre was presented by Awang Hanafi Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Deputy Head of Brunei History Centre. With its vision as an authoritative History Resource Centre, the History Centre also collected and worked on discovering the Brunei historical artefacts in and outside the country, publishing the Brunei history materials as well as showcasing the discovery and Brunei historical legacies. The delegation also continued to visit the geneology and manuscripts exhibition.
Meanwhile in the morning, the delegation visited to the Information Department and was given a briefing regarding Vision 2035 by Awang Muhd. Aziman bin Haji Awang Nasir, Administrative Officer Grade One, the Permanent Secretariat of Brunei Vision 2035 at Prime Minister's Office and Dayang Athirah Fakhriah binti Haji Awang Yussof, the Public Relations Officer, Permanent Secretariat of Brunei Vision 2035 at Prime Minister's Office. The governance aspects, vision framework and efforts on implementing Brunei Vision 2035 were among other matters that were outlined in the briefing. The success of Brunei Vision 2035 depends on the hard work and collaboration of all parties acting and uniting as part of a nation. The 5-days programme among other things aimed to give exposure and experience as well share information.
