Brunei Darussalam’s participant, Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki placed fourth in the 62nd International Tilawah Al- Qur’an and Memorisation for 1444 Hijrah/ 2022 in the Qariah category.
36 participants from 28 countries took part in the prestigious event which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Emerging champion of the Qari category was the participant from Bahrain, with the Malaysian participant in second place while Singapore and Iraq took 3rd and 4th place respectively. Meanwhile, the Qariah champion was the participant from Malaysia, in second place was Singapore and third place went to Indonesia.
